A Paint Party and Lowcountry Boil
will be held at Moreland Landing on Saturday, April

Surf and Turf Weekend on April 20-22
is a tournament consisting of two rounds of golf at
the May River Golf Club and an in-shore saltwater
fishing tournament. The weekend also includes an optional
complimentary tour of Bluffton's Waddell Mariculture
Center, where research is conducted on the Lowcountry’s
game fish. The trip to Waddell will begin in front
of the River House at 9:15 a.m. on Friday, April 20.

Landscape and wildlife artist Linda St. Clair
will be painting live at the Gallery, followed by

Unauthorized clearing of lots in
Palmetto Bluff is prohibited, including thinning and
pruning of trees and removal of other understory vegetation.
Any work of this nature must be approved by the Design
Review Board and is to be done in accordance with
the River Protection Overlay District Guidelines and
standard arboricultural practices. Additionally, the
River Protection Overlay District Guidelines prohibit
clearing equipment to be used – view corridors
are to be the result of hand clearing only.

The East Gate to May River Forest
(just past the Golf Club) is closed 24 hours a day,
seven days a week. The West Gate will remain open
during daylight hours. As always, a transponder will
open both gates.

Please remember that Moreland Landing
is an events and programming venue only, and anyone
visiting the site must be accompanied by a staff member.
Heavy construction activity and traffic in Phase II
make the route to Moreland too dangerous for unescorted
access.
