… The Canoe Club Pool will be closed for a private member event beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11. The Canoe Club Fitness Center will remain open until 8 p.m., its normal closing time. The River House Swimming Pool will be available to children under the age of 16 during this time.

… A Property Owner Grace Cruise will be held on Friday, October 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kelly Brock of AAA Vacations will be on hand to answer questions about the upcoming Amazon River Cruise (January 16-25, 2009 – see below for more details). … Oktoberfest will be held at the Canoe Club on Saturday, October 25 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Traditional German cuisine will be served along with kegs of beer (and root beer for the children) at this open-air celebration on the first and second floors of the restaurant building. … Halloween Fun will be held on Sunday, October 26 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at River House Fire Pits. Participants of all ages are welcome and are invited to come dressed in costume. The complimentary event will include pumpkin decorating, crafts, activities/games, trick-or-treating around the Village, a costume contest, and cookies and cider.

… The Palmetto Bluff Turkey Trot, a Thanksgiving Weekend 5K run, will be held on Friday, November 28. The first 50 registered participants will receive a 2008 5K Turkey Trot t-shirt. … Opera tenor Jason Collins will perform at the River House Ballroom on Friday, November 28 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 apiece for the concert and $75 for the concert and an artist salon reception in the Wine Cellar.
