First Friday Program: Treefrogs and Toe Pads
Wildlife biologist Tom Luhring will discuss identifying features and other fascinating facts about our native treefrogs and other amphibians. This month's lecture will be combined with a field trip in which participants will experience some interesting Conservancy research on amphibians and their habitats.

Coastal Croquet Clubs On-The-Lawn Court Demonstration
The Court Demonstration is part of the Coastal Croquet Clubs’ third annual Rules Clinic. The complimentary clinic is presented in two phases and is open to any individual with an interest in learning the game of Six Wicket Croquet. The first phase is a two-hour classroom session lead by USCA Certified referees. Classes will be offered on March 10-12 at the Dataw Croquet Club, Sun City Croquet Club and Wexford, Port Royal and Cypress Croquet Clubs on Hilton Head Island. The second phase is the Court Demonstration at the WLRC, followed by the opportunity for attendees to play a game. White attire is recommended.

Merry Edwards Wine Dinner
The evening will begin with a traditional Oyster Roast accompanied by Merry Edwards Sauvignon Blanc, followed by a four-course dinner with Ms. Edwards. One of the first female winemakers in the industry, Edwards began her career for Mount Eden Vineyards in 1974, followed by Matanzas Creek Wines and Laurier Winery. In 1997 she produced her first vintage of Pinot Noir for Merry Edwards Winery. Today she is still making exquisite Pinot Noirs from the Russian River Valley. The cost is $100 per person plus tax and gratuity.
