From Patty Kennedy
As we look back over the past few years, the Palmetto Bluff Conservancy takes great pride in all we have accomplished for conservation and historical documentation. We’re even more excited about everything that lies ahead for 2008 and beyond.
For example, our “Biodiversity Initiative” continues, documenting the dynamic ecosystems of Palmetto Bluff. This information will be used to protect and enhance habitats and species as residential development moves forward. Through this initiative, education and research opportunities abound for property owners, students and guests. Our team would be happy if every person who owns property has a chance to work with us in documenting and surveying this natural world.
Our popular First Friday lecture series and nature tours also continue. For a look at upcoming events and outings, click on the Calender link at left. Additionally, our land and wildlife management efforts move forward, behind the scenes in areas rarely seen by residents and guests.
Indeed, these are exciting times at Palmetto Bluff, and we hope you will join in the fun!
