Welcome to Longfield Stables at Palmetto Bluff. We invite you and your horse to enjoy our equestrian center and its amenities, whether it be for a weekend or a lifetime.
In keeping with the warmth and welcoming nature of Palmetto Bluff, Longfield Stables strives to provide something for everyone. The riding surfaces are diverse and allow for training in multiple equestrian disciplines from beginner through the higher levels. These training areas include the John Williams cross-country course and equestrian trail system, the FEI regulation dressage ring, the large, covered riding arena, and the turf riding and driving field. All are available to the public for scheduled schooling sessions, either by trailering-in for the day or overnight visits during which the guest horses are stabled in our state-of-the-art 14-stall Receiving Barn.
Clients of Longfield Stables enjoy a facility that is not only visually appealing, but functions well and allows for proper horse husbandry. Each barn has been designed for proper ventilation and airflow. Floor plans that include grooming and wash stalls have been well thought-out to provide for a safe and easy traffic flow. Management has taken extraordinary measures to promote the health of Longfield's pastures and paddocks by setting aside the proper amount of acreage and establishing a maintenance program to promote high-quality grasses for the horses to enjoy in a natural setting.
Our goal is to create a fun and safe learning environment for all clients. Longfield Stables will be hosting numerous educational and training opportunities in 2008, including the USDF FEI Young Rider's Clinic for Region III with Kathy Connelly on June 7-8.
